Our 161st year Rosé focuses on bringing strength and generosity from Pinot Noir. This Rosé from assemblage is carefully elaborated with a beautiful red wine from Verzenay Pinot Noir from 2021. In any year with some climate adversity, you either get disappointed or you find the most exceptional fruits that remained bright against all odds. With the serious efforts they put into carefully selecting individual grape clusters during the traditional manual harvest, our winemakers can find extraordinarily fresh and bright flavors.
However challenging and time-consuming that task is, when your sole focus is finding the exceptional and ignoring volume limitations or constraints, you can make exceptional wines in most years. It does take a very coordinated approach with our vineyard teams and the acceptance that we may occasionally reject more grapes than we keep. That is the price to pay for constant superior quality.
